Chempix were recently tasked with producing the decorative shield etchings for Up Helly Aa 2011 - Europe's Largest Fire Festival.
Up Helly Aa celebrates Shetland's Viking heritage with a torch-lit procession and the burning of a replica Viking gallery. Visitors from across the world travel to see the event, which features a band of latter-day Viking warriors known as the Jarl Squad.
A total of 57 shield designs were produced using 600mm x 450mm brass sheets 0.5mm thick.
